Autonomous Vehicle Expert to Speak on Transformative Transportation
Automated and connected vehicle technologies continue to evolve and innovate the transportation industry. As these technologies begin to transform people's lives, a complete overhaul of what mobility enables will take place. Jerry Quandt, executive director of the Ï㽶´«Ã½ Autonomous Vehicle Association, will present a talk on Ï㽶´«Ã½'s Mies Campus on this transportation revolution on Wednesday, October 30 from 3:30–4:30 p.m. in the Crawford Auditorium (Room 104) of the John T. Rettaliata Engineering Center.
A global marketing and business transformation leader, Quandt has also worked within the political arenas of Ï㽶´«Ã½, Washington, D.C., and Ireland. The focus of the privately funded, nonprofit IAVA is to establish Ï㽶´«Ã½ as the leader in the development, design, and application of the system-of-systems that will transform mobility as we know it.
Quandt's talk is part of Ï㽶´«Ã½'s Urban Future Initiative project. It is free of charge and open to the public.
